Oostende
Oostende is the largest coastal city in West Flanders, with a population of around 70,000. The city blends an active fishing harbour and marina with an expansive seafront and a relatively compact city centre. Its neighbourhoods range from the tourist-facing promenade to quieter residential areas such as Mariakerke and Stene, with a broad mix of apartments and terraced houses on offer.
There are currently no active projects available on the network for Oostende. Listings are therefore limited, and anyone with an interest in the city would do well to keep a close eye on it for new additions.
Buyers in Oostende typically fall into two camps: private individuals looking for a second home by the sea, and investors targeting rental income through tourism or student lets. Compared with other coastal municipalities, relatively lower property prices make the city an attractive entry point for budget-conscious buyers looking to get a foothold on the Belgian coast.
